Services

My Service Fees

Free Consultation 

I always provide a free initial consultation before a contract is signed so we can meet & decide if we want to work with each other. I want you to find the doula that you are the most comfortable with. This consultation is our chance to get to know each other & how I can best help you. You are under no obligation to hire me after this consultation. I will hold your estimated due date for one week after our consultation to allow time for you to make a decision. I ask that you inform me of your decision prior to the end of that week. After one week, the date will be available to other clients. I pride myself in only taking 1-2 clients per month to provide greater availability to my clients.

Phone Support

Once the contract is signed, I offer phone/texting/email support daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Two weeks before your estimated due date I will be "on call" & available ANYTIME when you go into labor. After you have delivered, phone/texting/email support will continue for up to two weeks postpartum, but will return to every day from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

2 Prenatal Visits

After the contract is signed, two prenatal visits will be provided. During these visits we will discuss your desires & options for your birth. I can help you with any concerns or questions you or your birth partner might have. We will also talk about your previous births, if applicable. I can offer suggestions for various positions, relaxation techniques & other comfort measures that might be helpful during your birth. If you would like to write a birth plan, we can do this during this time as well.

During Labor

I will arrive & begin birth support within 2 hours of your phone call requesting my presence. Physical, emotional & informational support will be continuous until up to two hours postpartum.

Baby's First Feeding Support

If you are choosing to breastfeed I can provide support & assistance with your baby's first feeding (unless an extended amount of time has lasped following the birth). I can continue to give breastfeeding support & assistance for up to 2 weeks following your birth. I am not a lactaction consultant but I can get you in touch with one should the need arise.

2 Postpartum Visits

Two postpartum visits will be provided. This will be a time to discuss your birth & share your feelings about your experience. I can also help you with any questions or concerns that you or your birth partner may have.

Belly Casting

For an additional fee, I also offer belly/breast castings. Belly castings are simply "molds" of a woman's blossoming abdomen. Many women also include breasts in their belly castings. I use all-natural, non-toxic materials. Some women paint or decorate their castings to create a unique, permanent keepsake of their remarkable journey.

My Services Include:

My Fees Are As Follows:

  • $200 non-refundable retaining fee at time of contract signing

  • $250 due at time of 1st prenatal visit

  • $250 due at time of 2nd prenatal visit

 

Total service fees are $700; to be paid in FULL by time of on-call status (38 weeks).

 

I believe that every woman deserves to have a doula if they so desire! If financial hardship might prevent you from hiring a doula, please contact me. I offer reduced rates &/or payment plans to those that qualify.

 

I gladly accept personal checks, cash or money orders.

Lending Library 

When you become a client you will have access to my Lending Library. I ask that you write a check in the amount of the retail price of the book(s). I will HOLD the check until you have returned the book(s) in the same condition in which they were checked out in, then I will return the check to you. In the event that you do not return the book(s), I will then cash the check to replace the book(s).
